little prince

Lots of baby boys due this year so thought I'd make another card, quite a simple card but hopefully it works. I love this cute little lion and haven't used him before.

Supplies: Cardstock; Core'dinations;
Patterned Paper; Doodlebug Designs:
Stamps; Hero Arts; Ink; Brilliance Dew Drop;
Ribbon: Hobby Craft; Sewing machine

Jon's cousin and his wife have just had a baby boy Callum James so have sent this to them!

a little bird

I loved the last card I made, so I made another very similar and think I will be making some more. My stamping wasn't great but pleased with the machine stitching. I have a 30th birthday card for my cousin to make and Easter cards but no idea what to do yet. Can you just do Spring themed cards? I don't have any stamps that are suitable really.

Gemma's birthday card

Been thinking about a card for my friend Gemma for a while, wanted to make a card with shoes on. Couldn't find anything I liked in the local shop, should have really tried to order something online a while ago but didn't have the pennies at the time! Looking through all their stamps and they are just starting to get some Hero Arts ones in. Found a gorgeous birdcage and a cute sentiment to go with it. Used my Christmas Robin for the little bird, minus his hat and holly! Really pleased with this card :) may have to make a few more of these!

Birthday card for Mum's friend

My mum loved her card and asked me to make one for her friend Barbara's Birthday in a few days time. I struggled with this, as had to make something both of them would like and she wanted the same shape card! I ran out of time thinking about it in the end, so I quickly made two cards for mum to choose from which were inspired by others (sorry I don't have the links, but thank you for your inspiration!).  I used a sewing machine for the bunting on the first card and also around the edge of the card on the second. I'm not the best photographer, I really should find my camera, just taken with my phone in the dark so not great.

The card I used for the challenge the other week laurieloou.blogspot.com/2010/03/mothers-day-card.html we gave to Jon's mum for Mother's day, that left one more to make for Jon's Step-mum! I used the same type of flower (which I had to hand cut - I really need a punch or scalloped Nestabilities!!).  Which I made from the Friendship Definition Digital Stamp from Hero Arts and then just dabbed brown ink all over the printed paper.

Grandma's card

Went shopping after work yesterday to get more supplies! I was in there two hours! I needed to finish a birthday card for my Grandma, which I had started few weeks ago when I made Jon's Nan's card. Ran out of Ribbon and flowers etc. Bought some self adhesive Ribbons in green, green buttons, some paper flowers, circle nestibilities, embossing mat, some letter stickers, some ink and few other bits. I bought a very small set of birthday messages stamps as I didn't have any! Only 99p! Would have loved to buy more, I think it will take some time to collect supplies!

Happy birthday Grandma for tomorrow! Here's the card I made. Was hoping to go over to see her this morning, but slept in until 11am! I never sleep in ! Oops. If Jon's better will go tomorrow.

The paper for the flower is hand cut as I do not have a punch or die, so used a scalloped die cut from Making Memories, drew round it and cut it out 5 times.
